I have come to the conclusion that the problem with Detroit is a lack of competant innovative and imaginative leadership.The last mayor that showed these qualities was Archer and he left throwing up his hands when he was stopped at every turn trying to make change.Oakland county is still solvent and in better shape than most Mi. counties because we have been blessed with a strong leader such as Patterson.With Bing now being mayor.Bob as DPS head and most of the clowns replaced on the council I have for the first time felt hopeful for Detroit.I believe like you that the most important thing for southeastern Mi is for all of the counties to work together on a regional plan,all we can do is cross our fingers and try to elect competent leaders and not politicians trying to make a name for themselves.
