Meet Tim Hebert

In this spotlight, we get to know Tim Hebert, who recently came on board as New Business Development Manager at Patti Engineering’s Austin, Texas office.

“We are excited to welcome Tim into our Texas-based team to help us accommodate the growing demand for our control system integration services in that market,” said Sam Hoff, CEO of Patti Engineering.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the Austin, Texas team with Patti Engineering,” said Tim. “I look forward to working with customers and getting to know their processes and pain points in order to help them improve their manufacturing with the latest technology.”

Tim comes to Patti Engineering with a background in both automation and power distribution, having worked in various roles from engineering and applications positions before moving to the commercial side of the electrical supply chain industry. “I’ve enjoyed working in the automation industry and I’m excited to be back,” said Tim. “I love to keep up with the latest manufacturing technologies and figure out how to use them to help our customers achieve their goals.”

Tim is settling in to his new duties in Patti Engineering’s Austin office. “We’ve got some great anchor customers here in Austin so I’ve really been able to hit the ground running,” he said. “I’ve been able to get directly involved with some great opportunities, and I look forward to getting more engaged with these projects.”

Both Tim and his wife are graduates of Texas A&M University, and being an alumnus remains a big part of Tim’s life. “My degree is in industrial distribution, which is a great mix of topics for my role at Patti Engineering, covering automation, sales, logistics management, and a variety of different manufacturing processes,” he said. “In my career, I lean heavily on the alumni network, which has been very helpful in achieving my business goals.”

When he’s not at work, Tim enjoys spending time with his family. Tim and his wife are on the production team at their church and stay quite busy with their two sons and daughter, ages 12, 9, and 7. The family is on the go at least six days per week with the kids participating in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities. When not on carpool duty, you may find Tim on the links, “I always enjoy golf. I don’t get to play nearly as much as I would like.”

The family also enjoys travel, especially their annual trip to Southern Colorado. This year, they have made the most of their time together during the pandemic, having driven to Colorado, the Texas Gulf Coast, as well as to Michigan for Tim’s onboarding at Patti Engineering, and they have plans to visit New Mexico this winter. “My wife and I try to offer experiences to our children as gifts rather than focusing on getting them toys and gadgets,” he said. “Travel is a big part of that.”

When asked what excites him about working with Patti Engineering, he says, “I’ve always had a customer-focused drive in my career. I care a lot about the customers’ business and their success as much as my own. I’m looking forward to making new relationships in the industry, and helping out as many customers as I can.”
