Patti Spotlight: Shahrokh Yousefi
A critical member of our Texas team, Electrical Engineer Shahrokh Yousefi is in our spotlight this month. “Shahrokh is an extremely dedicated and detail-oriented engineer who does a terrific job of executing our projects!” said Sam Hoff, CEO of Patti Engineering.
The list of projects Shahrokh Yousefi has worked on in his time with Patti Engineering runs the gamut of control system integration technologies. Most of the dozen or so projects have been in the automotive powertrain industry, but the types of projects have varied widely including upgrading a piston ringer, installing a robotic measurement cell, upgrading PLCs from numerous older technologies, and an IT/OT network integration. Shahrokh has also worked on projects in the wind power and oil and gas industries such as data extraction from an LWB injection machine and updating controls software.
Shahrokh enjoys this variety of the customers and projects. He explained, “You never get bored repeating the same job for months; instead you must deal with new challenges for almost every new project.”
Originally from Iran, Shahrokh and his wife Zoreh came to the U.S. in 2011 to start a new life and seek new opportunities here, beginning with their enrollment in graduate school at the University of North Texas (UNT). In Iran, Shahrokh had received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering before the couple moved to Texas to continue their studies. Shahrokh graduated from UNT in 2014 with his master’s degree in engineering systems with a concentration in electrical systems. A busy year for Shahrokh, in 2014 after his graduation, he began work at Patti Engineering. The year also brought the birth of the couple’s son Armin.
When at home in Texas, Shahrokh enjoys reading, watching movies, listening to music and spending time with his family. Shahrokh and Zoreh enjoy traveling together.
When asked what he enjoys most about working at Patti Engineering, Shahrokh has a long list: “I can see the joy of working at Patti Engineering in different layers. In the manager layer, I like the trust and sympathy they give to address employees’ problems.” He adds, “In the co-worker layers, I like the culture and atmosphere as well as working with a group of highly talented and knowledgeable engineers.”
