Patti Engineering to Share Integration Expertise with InduSoft in Webinar for Water/Wastewater Management Application on October 12

Senior Engineer Nick Hitchcock, PE, of Patti Engineering joins InduSoft for webinar to discuss how using automation with InduSoft Web Studio can create safer, cleaner and more reliable municipal water supplies.

Auburn Hills, MI October 6, 2016 – Patti Engineering, Inc., a leading control system integration company based in Auburn Hills, MI with offices in Texas, Indiana and Tennessee, today announced the company will partner with InduSoft to offer an educational webinar on October 12, 2016 at 8:00 am and 3:00 pm CDT.  The webinar will be hosted by InduSoft, a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and human-machine interface (HMI) software provider, and will discuss applications for municipal water and wastewater systems.

The InduSoft webcast entitled “Water/Wastewater with InduSoft Web Studio and Patti Engineering” will take place in two sessions Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 8:00 am and 3:00 pm CDT.  Nick Hitchcock, senior engineer and licensed Professional Engineer will discuss how Patti Engineering used InduSoft Web Studio to design a large municipal water/wastewater monitoring project for the city of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas.

“InduSoft has enjoyed a long partnership with Patti Engineering, dating back to our first joint project in 1991,” said Scott Kortier, senior technical sales representative for InduSoft.  “By taking full advantage of the powerful features in InduSoft Web Studio and using their expertise in developing top-notch systems, Patti Engineering showcases the possibilities of an intuitive HMI or SCADA interface.”

The team from Patti Engineering designed a new SCADA system and HMIs using InduSoft Web Studio to allow for central control and management of the municipal water and wastewater system. The new process and equipment saves the city money by reducing energy usage and lowering operational costs for their water and wastewater infrastructure.  This project was also featured in Water & Wastes Digest: http://www.wwdmag.com/scada/remote-retrofit.

The webinar will give an overview of the Fair Oaks Ranch project and discuss some of the technical challenges that were encountered, including how the solution handled remote servers and web access for the city’s water/wastewater engineers.  Participants will also hear advice on best practices for designing water and wastewater applications.  Following the formal presentation, there will be a live Q&A session with Patti Engineering and InduSoft.
