Auburn Hills, MI and Houston, TX – March 9, 2016

Patti Engineering, Inc., a leader in control systems integration, today announced details of two webinars the company will co-present this month, both hosted by industry leaders. The first webinar will be hosted by Control Engineering, a division of CFE Media which encompasses a variety of platforms aimed at engineers in manufacturing, commercial and industrial buildings and manufacturing control systems with the knowledge they need to improve their operational efficiency. The Control Systems Integrators Association (CSIA) is a not-for-profit, global trade association for system integration companies with more than 400 member firms in 27 countries.

The Control Engineering webcast entitled “Replacing Legacy Networking Protocols with Ethernet” will take place Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Like in non-industrial applications, converting to an Ethernet network can improve connectivity and expand hardware availability and flexibility. Nick Hitchcock, senior engineer at Patti Engineering and licensed Professional Engineer, will discuss the advantages and pitfalls of upgrading to Ethernet for industrial applications. He will also share his experience with a discrete application at an equipment manufacturing facility and will be available for Q&A.

Participants are eligible for a certified professional development hour. Registration is available at http://www.controleng.com/media-library/webcasts/2016-webcasts/31016-webcast.html

The Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) webinar, “Instituting Best Practices – Two Integrators’ Perspectives,” will take place Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. ET. Steve Palmgren, Vice President of Texas Operations for Patti Engineering, will share his perspective on adopting CSIA Best Practices and the implications of it over the years.
