Fixed Price Project
In a fixed-price project, you and Patti Engineering agree on a single, lump-sum price for the entire project before any work begins. The cost remains constant regardless of time or resources required. The key to success is a clearly defined scope of work. Patti Engineering assumes the financial risk of any unexpected costs or delays, making this model ideal when requirements, deliverables, and timeline are well understood. Benefit: predictable cost and straightforward budgeting.
Time and Expense Projects
A time and expense (T&E) project offers flexiblity. You are billed for the actual hours worked (at a set rate) plus materials and resources. This model is best for projects where scope is evolving or uncertain. While you assume more financial risk, you gain transparency, flexibility to adjust priorities, and visibility into project progress.

Engineering Study
An engineering study is a formal, documented investigation of a problem or opportunity. It applies proven engineering principles to various options and provide an evidence-based recommendation. Use it to:
- Assess a potential new project
- Troubleshoot an existing problem
- Evaluate alternatives
- Ensure compliance and safety
The result is a comprehensive report with data analysis, technical drawings, cost estimates, risk assessment, and clear recommendations — a critical tool for making informed decisions and securing funding.
